A fruitful partnership—two decades strong

Every day at Kellanova, we rely on tens of thousands of incredible suppliers from around the world to create the iconic foods that people know, trust and enjoy. From ingredients to packaging, we work with diverse suppliers who represent our consumers and the communities where we live and work.

This work is an essential component of our overall equity, diversity & inclusion (ED&I) strategy, which supports our Kellanova Better Days™ Promise to advance sustainable and equitable access to food and create better days for 3 billion people by the end of 2030.

If you’re in the U.S. and have ever enjoyed a bar of Nutri-Grain®, then you’ve already enjoyed the fruit of our commitment to diverse suppliers. The delicious filling in Nutri-Grain® bars is made by Baldwin Richardson Foods, one of the largest Black family-owned and -operated businesses in the food industry in the U.S. They produce more than 45 million pounds of ingredients a year for Kellanova, such as the fillings in Nutri-Grain® and Pop-Tarts® Bites. It’s a partnership that began with our predecessor, Kellogg Company, more than 20 years, built on a strong foundation of shared values and goals.

“Kellanova strives to have a diverse supplier base and encourages its diverse suppliers to connect with one another,” says Erin Tolefree, President of Baldwin Richardson Foods. “We’re proud to partner with them.”

We’re also proud of our partnership—so much so that we’re celebrating their contribution on the packaging of some of the foods they help us create! Look out for a spotlight on Baldwin Richardson Foods on packs of strawberry and apple cinnamon Nutri-Grain® Soft Baked Breakfast Bars in select U.S. retailers, including Kroger, Target, and Walmart.
