Kellanova is on track to remove FD&C colors from our U.S. K-12 foods offered in schools within the 2026/27 school year and for our retail foods by December 31, 2027.
We have been on a continuous journey to give consumers more of what they want and less of what they don’t. This includes foods with less sugar, sodium and saturated fat as well as innovating foods with more fiber, protein and micronutrients.
Over the years, we’ve heard consumers’ preferences on artificial ingredients and taken action, making notable progress to review color ingredients and adjust our recipes.
Today, 80% of our North American retail foods and 95% of our K-12 foods are already free of FD&C colors.
Each of our North American categories already includes foods free of artificial colors.
For our remaining portfolio, we continue to actively seek alternative ingredients that deliver the taste and texture our consumers expect. We always aim to meet the needs and preferences of our consumers with diverse choices that never compromise on quality and food safety.
